A Head Full of Ideas

During the 2008 election, Rolling Stone magazine reported Bob Dylan's Maggie's Farm to be one of Barack Obama's favorite songs to listen to during the political season.

There are many interpretations of the 1965 classic, but it is most widely thought to be a protest song that rails against controlling forces. "Well, I try my best to be just like I am but everybody wants you to be just like them," sings Dylan. One can imagine the attraction the song has for BHO, a man who defied the odds to win the presidency.

The book, King's Dream: Barack Obama Becomes President of the United States of America is a daily chronicle of the 2008 election. It reveals BHO's principles and beliefs as reported by major news agencies and through his own words. The book is a fascinating look back, and a useful reference for putting events of the past four years, and the current presidential race, into perspective.
